Since 2007 Elep undergoes yearly audits by SGS, a leading inspection-, verification-, testing- and certification company. Our processes and business management comply with all market regulations. Even more, they often surpass them. Amongst others, Elep is PEFC- and FSC-certified. 49 types of our envelopes have the European Ecolabel, controlled by the Federal Public Service of Health, Food chain safety and Environment.
Elep publishes its environmental performance metrics on a yearly basis, in accordance with the regulations of the Flemish government. In 2016 and all following years Elep obtained the Sustainability Charter. We were one of the first companies to collaborate with Voka (Flanders' Chamber of Commerce and Industry) on sustainable entrepreneurship. We aspire the lowest possible ecological footprint, in our choice of raw materials as well as in our production processes. We follow a strict environmental programme that is reviewed every year. And we track, evaluate and review results on a recurring basis.
This is why Elep is a participant of the Voka Charter Sustainable Development and received the UN-charter of Unitar. ELEP can call itself proudly SDG Champion since 2022.
The BRCGS certification for the labels has been obtained in 2023 with a A grade. It certifies our ability to deliver to the food industry.
